• In 1933 the small town of Buenavista was founded, and among the founders that came to the town was Benedicto Antonio Castro, known by his nickname "Don Benedo", who built the house and moved in with his family.

• ​In 1993 the third generation of the Olivares Castro Family takes charge of the family business. 

• In 2007 Café Finca El Balcón coffee brand is created.

• In 2016, the fourth generation of the family starts to take care of the family business and starts offering touristic experiences.
